Congratulations on your acceptance and welcome to Connecticut College!

We can’t wait to have you join our community.

When you receive your welcome letter there will be instructions for you to activate your College email address and password. Later in the spring, you’ll be able to complete your Online Pre-Orientation (called the Camel Experience). We’ll let you know when that’s ready and we’ll post a link here, too. It will include extensive information about the College and important documents that you will need to submit, such as the housing form.

Welcome Weekend is scheduled from Wednesday, August 21, 2024 through the end of the day on Monday, August 26, 2024. The first day of classes for the fall semester is Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

You'll move in and get settled on Arrival Day, Wednesday, August 21, 2024 and begin Welcome Weekend that afternoon. When you arrive to campus, your transfer advisers and other student leaders will help you get settled and acquainted with the campus, your residence house, dining halls, the library, the athletic center, clubs and organizations, traditions and even the lingo of Connecticut College.

Parents and Families are welcome to attend our Arrival Day events on Wednesday, August 21 and we will have a dedicated program for parents and families in the afternoon. Starting that evening, students will begin a busy schedule of events through the start of classes and will not have time for visits from family and friends.

Detailed schedules for Welcome Weekend will be announced in August 2024.

Keep an eye on your email inbox

We will send you, by email, your College email address and password. Please activate your account right away. After your new Connecticut College account is activated, most information we send to you will be to your Connecticut College email address, so please log in at least once a week. (You can read and send email by going to CamelWeb and clicking the email icon at the top of the page.) If you do not get your College email address, contact the IT Service Desk at 860-439-4357.

When do I register for classes?

You will receive a welcome letter with registration information and details about when you'll be able to register for classes.

Wonder about housing?

You will tell us about your personal preferences, study habits and more on the Student Housing Form found in the Camel Experience platform. With this input, we’ll match you with a room and roommate(s). Watch for an email from us later this summer with that information. Learn more about residential life.
