Arboretum sponsors Meadows and Fields of SE Connecticut Aug. 19

The Connecticut College Arboretum and New England Wildflower Society will lead a tour of meadows and fields in Southeastern Connecticut on a day-long excursion to various sites on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017.

Visit will be made to several meadows on this excursion ,where one is likely to find many native flowers in bloom. Warm season grasses will be at their best. Sites include the Connecticut College Arboretum, Harkness State Park and private landscapes.

A complete list of locations, including directions, will be sent to participants before the event and tour leader Kathy Connolly will provide an overview of the meadow at each stop. Participants should provide their own transportation or carpool from Connecticut College. Bring a bag lunch to enjoy at a beautiful location along the way.

Registration fee is $42 or $35 for members of the Arboretum, NEWFS or Wild Ones. Space is limited.
