Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Connecticut College invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the rank of visiting assistant professor to begin in Fall 2022. The Computer Science Department currently consists of six permanent faculty members and has established research programs in algorithms, robotics/AI, music/audio processing, educational technology, graphics/VR, computer vision, bioinformatics, and machine learning. All areas of teaching and research interests in computer science are welcome with preference given to data science and related fields such as data analytics, intelligent cloud, big data, data mining, and machine learning. Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field by the time of the appointment. Having an active research program, demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, and potential to advise undergraduate research are preferred. Visiting faculty members typically teach five courses in an academic year.
