Beyond the classroom, you can pursue your intellectual interests through college-funded internships, student-faculty research, service learning and study-abroad programs.

Our distinguished graduates have won Fulbright, Goldwater, Luce and other notable fellowships and scholarships. Connecticut College is consistently recognized as a top producer of Fulbright scholars with over 37 awarded in the past seven years.
For incoming students, the top anticipated majors are biology, English, government, international relations and psychology. Many students choose to double major or self-design their major.
In addition to major requirements, we have a General Education requirement of at least seven courses across a wide range of liberal arts disciplines. First-year students also take a first-year seminar, a small, intensive class with close student-faculty interaction.
Students may also earn state certification in elementary and secondary education.
