OSHA Safety Policies
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has established rules and regulations designed to protect the health and safety of American workers. These rules have been codified into federal law, and Connecticut College has developed policies to meet the requirements of those laws.
If you become aware of a hazardous situation, don't assume that "someone else will take care of it." Notify the Office of Environmental Health & Safety, or a member of the Connecticut College EH&S Committee members of the safety concern, so that it can investigated and addressed.
Connecticut College's OSHA-mandated safety policies follow:
Bloodborne Pathogens
Confined Space Entry
Control of Electrical Hazards
Control of Hazardous Energy (Lock Out Tag Out)
Lead Safety
Hazard Communication
Hearing Conservation
Respiratory Protection
Compressed Gas Safety
Welding Safety
Fall Protection
Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Safety
Flammable and Combustible Liquids
