ICPSR (Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research) maintains a data archive of more than 500,000 files of research in the social sciences. It hosts 16 specialized collections of data in education, aging, criminal justice, substance abuse, terrorism, and other fields.

International Financial Statistics Online

International Financial Statistics (IFS) is a standard source of International statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance produced by the IMF. The IFS database contains time series data from 1950. **Access is by username and password only. Please see a Reference Librarian for assistance.

JSTOR

Full texts of journals from many different disciplines including Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies and Sociology. JSTOR journals are back issues, no title will be more than 3-5 years back. 

Lexis Nexis

Provides full-text documents from over 5900 news, business, legal, medical and reference publications.

PAIS International & Archive

Contains references to journal articles, books, government documents, and other materials covering political, economic, and social issues. Coverage: 1972 to the present.

Population Index

An annotated bibliography of recently published books journal articles, working papers, and other materials on population topics. Coverage is 1986-2000.

Proquest Social Science Journals

This database offers indexing and full text for hundreds of academic journals, providing extensive coverage across a wide range of social science disciplines including anthropology, criminology, economics, education, political science, psychology, social work and sociology.

Scopus

Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources. It´s designed to find the information scientists need. Updated daily, Scopus offers: 15,000 peer-reviewed journals from more than 4,000 publishers, over 1000 Open Access journals, 500 conference proceedings, 33 million abstracts and seamless links to full-text articles and other library resources.

Social Explorer

Social Explorer is based at Queens College of the City University of New York. Our main goal is to visually display the demographic change that has occurred in the U.S. since 1790 through the present, for the country over all down to the level of the county. Certain cities may even be displayed as far back as 1910. To do this we have developed a collection of interactive demographic maps that can be viewed, queried and manipulated on our site.
