Our dining halls satisfy — we offer more than 40 beverage selections; a daily salad bar with dozens of options and no less than ten dressings everyday; fifteen popular cereals, hearty breakfasts or bagels and coffee; a grill station serving burgers, hotdogs, fish, chicken, and fries; vegetarian items, pasta, soup, pizza and a "comfort foods" hot line serving a different menu daily. What's for dessert? Between the ice cream, soft serve, novelties, cookies, cakes, pies, and cobblers we make, there isn't a sweet tooth on campus we can't please.
Please consult CamelWeb, the College Intranet, for hours. Login is required.
Harris is the largest dining hall on campus with a seating capacity of 450 people, but it's a friendly atmosphere where there are cozy booths for two or tables for twenty. See "Dining at Harris" to learn more.
Harris offers the traditional menu, including vegetarian items, fast food, stir fry station, pizza, pasta bar, salad bar, dessert bar and a waffle bar. All areas are not open at every meal. One of the most popular options, the made-to-order deli bar at lunch, offers gourmet ingredients and the service is fantastic.
Jane Addams & Freeman
Jane Addams and Freeman are the dining halls on the south end of campus. Jane Addams is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday.
Freeman is the vegetarian dining room. Freeman is open Monday thru Friday for lunch and Monday thru Thursday for dinner. It has an exclusive array of vegetarian choices for those who enjoy either vegetarian or vegan. On Friday nights the Shabbat dinner is held in Freeman dining room. Freeman is closed on weekends.
The dining room in Knowlton, the international residence hall, offers lunch Monday through Friday to all interested in practicing their language skills. Knowlton has different language tables, where students, faculty, staff and even emeritus professors speak the designated language throughout the meal. It is a perfect place for you to practice the language and improve your proficiency.
Please note: Due to the Shain Library renovation during the academic year 2014-2015, language tables have moved to the 1973 Room in Harris Refectory, the main dining hall.
The Smith dining room is open for breakfast and a soup and deli lunch Monday through Thursday.
