Fortune Recital Hall
The Elizabeth Gilbert Fortune '40 Recital Hall, an intimate, acoustically superior 72-seat recital hall in Cummings Arts Center, features an adjacent recording studio, stage and dressing rooms. The hall boasts acoustic perfection with angled wooden panels to balance the reflection and absorption of sound and moveable chairs to maximize and customize the space for each performance.
The adjacent Fortune Recording Studio includes sound booths that allow for noise-free monitoring and recording of events taking place in the recital hall as well as from other nearby performance spaces, including the John C. Evans Hall and Oliva Hall.
Fortune Recital Hall and the adjoining recording studio provide a unique, comfortable setting that functions well for rehearsals, performances and recordings.
The Fortune Recital Hall was constructed thanks to a bequest by alumna Elizabeth Gilbert Fortune '40.
