New Student Orientation includes a Program for Parents and Families on Arrival Day

‌Orientation for new students arriving in fall 2013 begins on Friday, Aug. 23 and continues through Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. It includes a program for parents and families on Arrival Day, Friday, Aug. 23.

Move-in is from 9-11 a.m.

The Arrival Day program is designed to give you a clear sense of the life your student will have on campus. You will have opportunities to meet informally with faculty, attend mini-classes and workshops, tour the campus, and see College facilities. Staff from Information Services will be on hand at the IT Service Desk in the lower level of Shain Library to answer questions about connecting to the campus network, using email and ordering personal computers.

We invite you to attend the President’s Assembly at 3 p.m. After that, parents take part in programs on various aspects of the academic program and student life while students head off to start Orientation. The day will end with a late-afternoon reception for parents and students. Afterward, parents say their goodbyes and depart.

Detailed information on Orientation will be emailed to your student in August and posted at http://admitted.conncoll.edu.

Registration information is mailed to your student in the Enrollment Guide in late spring.
