2007 Professor Alchermes received a grant to support archaeological field work at Zaraka, Greece. This award and funding from the Department of Art History and Architectural Studies enabled him to bring two Connecticut College students to take part in field research.

2007 Recently graduated Architectural Studies majors were accepted to programs in architecture (at University of Michigan, University of Florida, and University of Miami), architecture and urban planning (at University of California at Berkeley), interior design (at Pratt Institute), real estate development (at NYU and Clemson University), film production (at Columbia University), and higher education (at NYU, Columbia University, and University of Pennsylvania).

2006 Professor Van Slyck and the Lyman Allyn Art Museum won three awards for Commerce and Culture: Architecture and Society on New London's State Street, an exhibition based on student research: a Leadership in History Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History; a Wilbur Cross Award from the Connecticut Humanities Council; and an Award of Merit from the Connecticut League of History Organizations.
