Begin the study-abroad application process as a sophomore
If you hope to study abroad in the fall of your junior year or spend the entire junior year abroad, you should begin the process in the first semester of your sophomore year.
If you hope to study abroad in the spring of your junior year, you should begin the process in the second semester of your sophomore year.
It's a demanding, but exciting, process.
To help you better manage the study abroad application and acceptance process, here are two suggested timelines for traditional study abroad and SATA programs. (Dates are subject to change.)
Timeline for fall semester, junior year or entire junior academic year study abroad (and fall SATA)
Timeline for spring semester study abroad (and spring SATA)
(Keep in mind that the deadline for spring semester study-abroad applications is mid-September)
